CHALLENGING REGIONAL ALT RIGHT MEDIA
For over a decade and a half Mark has monitoring and collecting data on regional right wing media outlets in South Georgia. He has also attempted to personally engage them individually and collectively about their inaccurate and divisive content. They have refused to do so. For example, and in spite of those attempts, Black Crow Media's WVGA 105.9 based in Valdosta, GA and owned by Southernstone Communications, not only excludes any and all programming that is not politically far Right, WVGA have also actively censors and "cancels" those who call in and challenge their assorted conservative "talk show" hosts when false or problematic information is broadcasted. WVGA and its various hosts have also refused to retract or correct misinformation when it inaccuracy has been brought to their attention.
With that in mind, Mark now works to engage their sponsors and advertisers about their support of WVGA's bigoted content and misinformation. In turn, many national and local advertisers/sponsors have withdrawn their advertising dollars from the station. This work continues to the present.
